Methodology
How we rank AI tools
Every product carries an overall score out of 100. That score is calculated from recorded attributes, not from a subjective ordering, and it is the same for every visitor. Your personalised results add a second layer — a fit score — that reflects your own answers.
The six scoring factors
| Factor | What it measures |
|---|---|
| Value for money | Price against the work the product actually removes, including free-plan usefulness. |
| Ease of adoption | How quickly a non-technical team can get a result without training or consultants. |
| Capability depth | Recorded features measured against the jobs the category is bought for. |
| Integrations | How well the product connects to the systems a business already runs. |
| Support and reliability | Documentation, support channels and product stability. |
| Adoption | Whether the product is established enough to be a safe multi-year decision. |
Your fit score
When you complete the assessment we re-weight the same data against your goals, budget ceiling, team size, technical comfort, existing subscriptions and ranked priorities. A highly rated product can still rank low for you — usually because it duplicates something you already pay for, or because it is more complex than your team needs.
Commercial relationships
Some vendors run affiliate programmes and we may earn a commission when you sign up through a link on this site. That never increases your price and it never changes a score or a ranking position. Sponsored placements exist, are always labelled as sponsored, and are excluded from score calculations.
Data verification
Each profile shows the date its record was last checked. Where a vendor does not publish pricing, we display "Pricing requires verification" rather than estimating a figure. Where a capability cannot be confirmed from vendor documentation, it is not listed.
